GILLIAN ESQUIVIA-COHEN

As a dual citizen of the US and Colombia, I reside in a third space between nations, an insider and outsider both in either territory. It is the position of the observer, one that enables me consider the stories both countries tell about themselves, others, and their places within history.

In my writing, I engage these stories and the identities they erase and forge, creating narratives that I hope may contribute to expanding the parameters of our collective imaginaries.
